“Baby Yoda” merchandise will soon be flooding shelves, as the breakout character from the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” has hit the spotlight, according to CNBC.
“The Child,” affectionately dubbed by fans as “Baby Yoda” due to its resemblance to the beloved Star Wars character, has been kept out of marketing by showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to avoid spoiling the character’s appearance in the series, according to CNBC. The report also added that apparel and accessories will soon be available from retailers including “Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic and Box Lunch” as possibly early as this Friday, when the third episode of the series is set to release on Disney+. Several designs of apparel are already available from Amazon.
Additional merchandise will be available at the Disney Store, shopDisney, and in Disney Parks before the holidays, with presales for items like toys and plush launching in the next few weeks, as the report explains, though it is currently unknown when these items will begin shipping.
