Good afternoon! Disney’s Hollywood Studios has really turned into tinseltown overnight! We’ve been anxiously waiting for the holiday decorations to arrive and they finally made their debut today.
Retro tinsel garland with colorful ornaments were draped across the front entrance.
Seriously… this silver tinsel was everywhere you looked. We especially enjoyed this display with a plethora of plush elves and reindeer.
Noticeably missing from the garlands across Hollywood Boulevard were the centerpiece wreaths. Hopefully, they’ll be hung soon, because the garlands look a bit sad without them.
Festive holiday statues appeared throughout the park.
We’re a little uneasy about this one. We find it slighty eerie.
That’s much better! A cute little reindeer faces Echo Lake.
A family of holiday poodles are out on parade.
A wreath beside the Echo Lake Apartments’ gate features two ornate cranes.
On Echo Lake’s island, the park’s massive Christmas tree was raised into place, accompanied by a trio of larger-than-life ornaments.
We’re outraged that Gertie still doesn’t have her Santa hat. Out of all the holiday decorations, this might be the most important one! This is an injustice!
A new t-shirt design is now available in stores. We found it at Mickey’s of Hollywood and Celebrity 5 & 10.
It features a metallic Mickey and is a part of the parks’ latest color trend, Arendelle Aqua.
When we arrived this morning, the brand new tees were being folded and put on the shelves. They retail for $24.99.
We made our way over to Animation Courtyard to check on the status of the Studio Arch. Not much had changed on the front.
On the backside, the smaller arches received cream paint to match the rest of the arch.
At The Studio Store, another adorable baby onesie has been added to the store’s baby clothing offerings. It costs $19.99.
Go “Into the Unknown” with Elsa, Anna, and all of their friends! Park guests can now watch a special preview of Frozen 2 at Walt Disney Presents.
At the entrance to Walt Disney Presents, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil poster was removed and replaced with a Frozen 2 poster.
The banners on the lamppost across the street were also switched out.
Inside, a display featured conceptual artwork and animation models of the film’s main characters. The preview fleshed out the film’s plot line and included the entire sequence of Elsa’s new ballad, “Into the Unknown”. You can read more about the Frozen 2 preview here.
The Green Army Patrol were on the march through Toy Story Land.
Be warned, these toys take play seriously!
After a brief stop, where the Sergeant yelled out commands to get the other soldiers in line, the Green Army Men were on their way to Alien Swirling Saucers. Outside of the attraction, they enlisted some guests to undergo boot camp style drills.
Over on Batuu, a stormtrooper was carefully monitoring the actions of all visitors to the planet. Under his careful watch, there was no room for any rebels to cause problems.
Finally, we only have a tiny bit of construction news from Hollywood Studios. At the restroom construction site across from BaseLine Tap House, the metal trim along the edge of the roof is getting painted to match building’s color.
Hope you enjoyed following our day at Hollywood Studios! Keep checking WDWNT for the latest Disney news. We’ll be the first to let you know once Gertie gets her Santa hat!
