Good morning from the monorail! We’re making our way into the Magic Kingdom today, but before we arrive, let’s take a quick look at the progress on the Grand Floridian pathway.
From the monorail, we can see crew working on the giant turn plate for the swing arm bridge. There is a piece on land, set off to the side, that looks like it could line up with the rotating mechanism in the water. We’re excited for this project to be completed, so we’ll continue to watch and bring you more updates.
Let’s take a little look at some breakfast options in the park. The Magic Kingdom has a very limited number of selections for breakfast food, and we often overhear hangry families looking for nourishment. One of the first places you’ll come across is the Main Street Bakery, better known as Starbucks. The line is often long here, so if you don’t need a coffee fix, we suggest moving on.
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments almost always has a long line first thing in the morning. There are fruit and waffle sandwiches, breakfast egg and cheese sandwiches until noon, and other quick bites for hungry guests.
Gaston’s Tavern cinnamon rolls are the best for a sweet breakfast in Fantasyland.
The new seating area for the Liberty Square Market is coming along nicely, but still needs work.
