With the opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios getting ever closer, it seems like the Rise of the Resistance attraction in Disneyland is getting some construction before its opening date on January 17, 2020.
While making our way through Batuu, we spotted these wooden planked construction walls up around the exterior of the attraction’s queue, with lights on within.
While we could not get a good look around these walls, we are guessing that Imagineers are working on redoing part of the queue before the opening date in a couple months.
The end of the line is still roped off and we cannot see any work going on from this part of the queue.
At the entrance to the attraction, we saw a few Cast Members, or Batuuans, standing guard. Training must be starting now as the opening day for the attraction on both coasts nears ever closer.
Are you getting as excited as we are for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance to open? If you are really eager, you can fly over to “Batuu East” and enjoy this attraction when it opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Walt Disney’s birthday, December 5th, 2019.
We’ll keep you updated on the status of these new construction walls in the coming weeks.
Great
