Ho ho ho! Merry Disney Christmas, everyone! It’s the holiday season at Tokyo Disney Resort, and that means a new slate of food to devour and review for you all! So, let’s take a closer look at the tasty treats to celebrate the season this year!
Churro variations have been the norm lately at Tokyo Disney Resort. Surprisingly delicious treats like the Pineapple Churro for Soaring: Fantastic Flight, and the Maple Pumpkin Churro for Disney Halloween have been the latest additions. Now, the Chocolate Churro isn’t anything new. This delicious sugary treat has been a tradition at Tokyo Disney Resort for several years, and for good reason! So, let’s take a look at the this Tokyo tradition for ourselves!
Chocolate Churro – ¥400 ($3.67)
There’s three homes to the Chocolate Churro this year: Parkside Wagon and Pecos Bill Cafe at Tokyo Disneyland, and Open Sesame at Tokyo DisneySea. $3.67 isn’t all that bad for a churro, actually. And by far and away, this has been my favorite seasonal churro!
When you get the churro, grab some extra napkins. As per usual with Tokyo churros, this thing is absolutely saturated with sugar topping. And if you’re as lucky as I am, you’ll get one of the hot and fresh churros. This one tastes more like a darker chocolate than milk chocolate, which definitely fits my personal preference. If you’re familiar with chocolate-flavored Malt-O-Meal, that’s exactly what it tasted like to me, in churro form. Biting in unleashes a satisfying crunch, combined with a less-satisfying shower of sugar falling to the ground. But all in all, I’ll take this over the regular cinnamon churro any day.
