Welcome to a rainy day at the Magic Kingdom. We’ve got an umbrella and rain boots, and we’re ready to splash our way around the park.
We’ve come here specifically to try the latest Cinderella 70th anniversary Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo cake, but we can never resist a chance to roam the park and see what else is new.
The refurbished vertical supports around the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover track have finished in some areas.
Other sections still need work.
Lines have been added on the ground around the TRON Lightcycle Run test bikes in Tomorrowland.
One guest will board the bike in front of them, and the other guest will walk behind the bikes to board the bike on the far side.
It may seem like a logical process… but after years of working in attractions, I can assure you people will struggle with this concept. Let’s hope the sign and arrows help people learn the process before the attraction opens.
Sonny Eclipse is missing. And this weird stage looks awful.
Big Top Souvenirs has been closed for a few days due to flooding and a subsequent carpet replacement.
What’s for lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus? No signal.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad had the wildest line in the wilderness today. Splash Mountain is still down for refurbishment, so guests don’t have much else to do on this side of Frontierland.
We were suspicious of the posted 45-minute wait time after looking at the line. After a few minutes, it was adjusted to 85 minutes. That sounds a little more accurate.
The Laughing Place Play Area is also getting refurbished.
Chip and Dale made their way around greeting guests. They’re roaming characters in the area, so they don’t have lines.
After looking at these scratched signs for so long at Storybook Treats, we’re excited to see them looking refreshed.
Thanks for traveling through the Magic Kingdom with us today. We hope you enjoyed this rainy day photo report, and we’ll see you next time!
OKay, seriously. Is there ever a SLOW day at WDW?????
Not since 2016.
The new signs at Storybook Treats look fantastic. I love Disney soft serve. Even in this weather, I’d love to go to the parks just for a swirl cone and to people watch while eating it.
