Noticeably missing from Wednesday’s grand opening was a key structural piece of Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue. The stately entrance archway featuring Sam Eagle that we’d seen in the concept art was not present when the restaurant opened earlier this week, but as promised, it has been installed in all its patriotic glory!

The archway welcomes guests as they enter from World Showcase, framing the entrance stairs and meat smoker in the distance.

Two wood pillars act as bases for the archway, with lanterns brightly lit on each side. In the middle, a gilded Sam Eagle crest sits perched atop the Regal Eagle Smokehouse Sign. It’s interesting to note that a smaller red sign with the words “Barbecue & Refreshments” hangs down from the main sign. (As opposed to Craft Drafts & Barbecue.)

With the facade for Regal Eagle Smokehouse now fully completed, you could say The American Adventure is looking more regal than ever. Guests running the Princess Half Marathon were granted these first-ever views of the new sign, but once the sun begins to shine on World Showcase, we’ll make sure to get even more glorious photos for you.
