Spring has come, the weather’s clear… Duffy comes this time each year? Why yes, he does, with all of his pals in tow for a spring celebration! We’ve already heard about the Easter festivities for Disney Easter 2020 at Tokyo DisneySea, so now it’s Duffy’s turn for the spotlight. All-new this year is Duffy & Friends’ “Spring in Bloom” event, featuring special merchandise and food to fit the occasion. We’ve already heard about the special treats coming to Cape Cod, so now it’s time for the Spring in Bloom merchandise! It’s a bit of a limited selection this time around, but still cute nonetheless. If you feel like the merchandise line is a bit slim compared to Heartwarming Days and Jolly Winter Holidays, that’s because it is. It’s believed right now that the coronavirus outbreak is having a major impact on merchandise manufacturing in China. We also haven’t seen any announcements related to previously-promised Disney Easter 2020 merchandise at all. Certainly a first in a long time that food and merchandise weren’t revealed together for major seasonal events. It’s rather concerning, but since these events both last a while, we may yet see more merchandise. Who knows? Since we’re big Duffy buffs (Gelatoni in particular) here at WDWNT, we’ll be keeping our eyes on this event at Tokyo DisneySea!
All of these Duffy & Friends “Spring in Bloom” items go on sale at McDuck’s Department Store and Aunt Peg’s Village Store in Tokyo DisneySea’s Cape Cod on March 23rd. What’s your favorite item? Are you coming to Tokyo this spring? Let us know below or on Twitter!
