Have you followed along with us this weekend to see all the new Cinderella treats? From resorts to the parks, you’ll find something new to celebrate the 70th anniversary of “Cinderella.” At both Disney’s Port Orleans Resort –– Riverside and French Quarter. Today, we saw a pink and white cupcake topped with Cinderella’s slipper.
This cupcake has pink buttercream icing, a white chocolate slipper on top of a blue icing pillow, and crunchy pearls on top. It’s filled with strawberry.
It is served cold from a bakery case, which hardened the frosting and made the cake a little dry.
The pearls are gray, which adds a pretty touch against the pink and blue.
The cake is good, but we didn’t like the filling very much. It tasted really artificial and was painfully sweet. The flavor profile is best when all the ingredients are eaten at once. Try a little cake and a little frosting, with a little strawberry cream. It’s much better this way!
Compared to the other Cinderella cakes we saw this weekend, this one didn’t wow us in terms of presentation. But it did have a nice coating of Pixie Dust.
We found the cupcake for $5.49 at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Riverside Mill Food Court in Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
