REVIEW: New Cinderella Slipper Cupcake Hides a Blueberry Surprise at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Have you seen all the new cupcakes around Walt Disney World for the 70th anniversary of “Cinderella”? Just when we think we’ve seen it all, we find a new sugar-filled treat. Today at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, we spotted a blue and white beauty in the dessert case.

Like the other Cinderella cupcakes, this is a good option when you want to split dessert with a friend. It’s very big and sweet.

The top is coated with thick sugar crystals, which adds a nice crunch — but also an intense sweetness. We love the edible glitter on the blue frosting and white chocolate slipper; who doesn’t love to sparkle?

Inside, the filling include whole blueberries! I think this is a first for a Disney cupcake as it usually is filled with a jelly rather than whole fruit. The texture is really nice and adds a little variety to the other cupcakes out there. The cake itself is flavorful, nice and moist.

This Cinderella cupcake is $5.99 and can be found at Kona Island inside Disney’s Polynesian Resort. You can also grab a Stitch cupcake while you’re there!
