Today marks the final day for a number of meet and greets and a long-running stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with the end of “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” and meet and greets for Mike Wazowski, Frozone, and Bo Peep. Check out all the details below, plus links to their respective announcements. Will you be heading over to the park to say your last goodbyes to these offerings?
Stage Shows
“Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away”
With Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance now boarding guests and all phases of Galaxy’s Edge now open, it seems that Star Wars presence throughout the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios will slowly begin to diminish. The final showing of “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” is scheduled to take place at 5:30 PM today, February 22, 2020.
Character Meet and Greets
Mike Wazowski
The “Monsters, Inc.” meet and greet inside Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened just last year, but after today, one of the dynamic duo will be retiring. Today is the last day Mike Wazowski will be meeting guests. Starting tomorrow, Sunday, February 23, the meet and greet will only feature Sulley.
Frozone
Today is also the last day of meet and greets for Frozone. After today, his meet and greet will become a seasonal offering. The Frozone meet and greet debuted in January 2019 as part of the Incredibles Celebration, where guests could meet and dance with their favorite Supers as part of the Super Shindig Dance Party.
Bo Peep
After today, the Bo Peep meet and greet will be going seasonal. Today is the last day she’ll be out meeting with Woody––until further notice. The Bo Peep meet and greet was added just last June in anticipation of Toy Story 4, with Bo Peep showing off her new look from the movie.
Hopefully it will bring back the DJ Dance Party in front of the Chinese theatre because it was used to have that 5-6 years ago. And it ended on Late 2015.
Entertainment cutbacks but boy those prices sure keep going up.
