Good morning from beautiful Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’re ready to have a wonderful, wild day here, so let’s see what we can find!
Coming into the park early in the morning means catching some of the animals napping before the large crowds arrive. These flamingos were taking a little snooze all together before the busy day.
Once inside Discovery Trading Co., we found this beautiful (and comprehensive) display of the new ABCDisney Letters merchandise collection. We think it’s our favorite display of these items we’ve seen yet.
While still at Discovery Trading Co., we found these fun new Mulan ears. For detailed pictures and more information, read our full article here.
Ready to start snacking our way through the park, we spotted these hand washing stations near several quick service food locations. In fact, in an impressive overnight implementation of increased sanitization standards, these handwashing stations have popped up throughout all four parks.
These little guys were ready for a snack too! These are Cape Porqupines, and can be found on Discovery Island Trails.
Speaking of treats, we found this seasonal Lion Paw Cookie just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
For today’s installment of the “Look Up” series, we take you to one of our favorite, if not a bit obvious places. Hint: While you’re here, grab a delicious bite to eat made just how you like it.
While Kali River Rapids is still closed for its annual refurbishment, there is hope for a return sometime soon. Water has been put back into the ride, and it’s flowing quite well. This is the loading area, and while the track was moving, there weren’t any boats in the water yet.
We checked in on the refurbishments going on in Pandora while we were here. These barricades are blocking on sections of ground so the glowing paint can be redone one block at a time.
Here you can see where the original paint ends on the right and the new paint begins on the left.
In light of a need for increased cleanliness and health concerns, staff could be seen wiping down and disinfecting handles, railings, walls, and displays all over Animal Kingdom today.
We were impressed with this team’s work!
Before heading out, we took at peek at the construction happening outside of the gate to increase security screening capacity. It’s really coming along!
Thank you for joining us on this beautiful sunny day here on the wild side of Disney. Until next time, Qua Harini, or Go Well.
Do you ever reveal the locations of the “Look Up” photos?
Satu’ li!
