Welcome to another fantastic day here at the Magic Kingdom. It’s a bit chilly this morning, but we’re ready to rope drop Splash Mountain. It’s reopened after its annual refurbishment.
Despite a delayed opening, Splash Mountain opened shortly after 9 AM to a large crowd of guests.
The attraction looked nicely refreshed, even though we still spotted scaffolding in some places.
There’s a tale behind that tail, but that’s for another day.
Everything is satisfactual!
It’s a cold morning, but we were able to avoid most of the splash during the drop. Some of the other water features in the ride were turned off, and we appreciated that on such a chilly day.
The castle is getting ready for a magnificent transformation, and the moat is being drained for more work. It feels like only yesterday that the moat was drained an the pathway was being widened. I guess we’re used to this look by now.
We’ll be watching for work to begin soon.
The Friar’s Nook breakfast is a favorite of mine, and finally there are new signs outside advertising their offerings. Sausage gravy and tots is my favorite.
It looks like Mickey’s Philharmagic has been busy today! The opera glass bins are overflowing.
Thankfully, some Cast Members came out to collect them not long after we spotted the situation.
The new Mickey balloon Spirit Jersey is available inside Star Traders. This will make a fun addition to my Spirit Jersey collection.
The crowds were out today! The line for Pirates is the Caribbean was wild.
The line for a pretzel was almost as bad as the lines for the attractions.
There’s not too much happening today, so that’s about it for now. Be sure to keep following WDWNT for more updates from Walt Disney World and beyond!
Love your posts! Can you please alter the format to be text first and picture second? It gets old looking at the picture, reading the text, realizing I was looking at the wrong thing, then scrolling back up to revisit.
Thanks for keeping a positive spin on these things, and love the moat shots!
I agree with this. I like to read the caption first, then look at the picture
What is the deal with the crowds lately? It looks like they have been high for months. I hope it drops off a little for our May trip.
