The ‘all-swinging, all-dancing’ Lion King and Jungle Festival is one of the wildest and most exciting seasons to take place at Disneyland Paris. This year, it was scheduled to take place from June 20 – September 13, however with recent news updates and announcements, the future of the festival has been thrown into doubt.
You roared… and The Lion King & Jungle Festival returned! #DisneyWildFestival is back from 20 June – 13 Sept! What are you looking forward to most?

The current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has led to the closure of the Disneyland Paris resort ‘until further notice‘, which has obviously had serious implications for scheduled park activities. The Marvel Season of Super Heroes, which would have run from early May, was cancelled back in March, and it was a couple of weeks ago that the announcement was made to postpone both Disneyland Paris Pride and Electroland, scheduled for June and July. So far, nothing has been said about the Lion King and Jungle Festival, which was only actually confirmed back in March, but a recent tweet is raising questions.

According to DLPReport, the lead of the Rajasthan drummers group, Rahis Bharti, has announced that performances of “The Jungle Book Jive” have been cancelled. So far, this information has not been updated on the Disneyland Paris webpage, so we will have to stay tuned to see what other announcements are made by the company.
“The Jungle Book Jive” is a colorful celebration which takes place throughout Disneyland Park, combining music and dancing with parade floats and Disney characters to tell the story of “The Jungle Book”… with a twist. It was definitely a highlight of the festival last year, and we doubt the season would be the same without it.
As always, stay tuned to WDWNT for more updates on schedule changes and cancellations through the park closures. Whilst we doubt that The Lion King and Jungle Festival will continue as usual, we did report earlier in the month that Disneyland Paris are to host three Halloween parties this October, so we still have that season to look forward to!
