Disney Park Pass Reservations Currently Unavailable Through July 17 for Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Reservations for the first phase of reopenings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been booked up through July 17 today, just hours after the Disney Park Pass system became fully functional after a string of errors in the AM hours. To check for Disney Park Pass availability, you can take a look at the calendar here.

As early as 2:15 PM, July 15 was fully booked by Disney Resort Guests. This, of course is Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ official reopening day along with EPCOT.

As the day has progressed, July 16 and 17 have also been booked up, with only the other three parks still offering reservations. Of course, cancellations can occur, opening up additional booking windows in the future, but for now, those dates are fully unavailable at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (That is, unless a portion of reservation slots have been saved for the two upcoming reservation access days for passholders and general ticket holders.)

Despite the launch of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival that same day, since the announcement of stand-by only queues, it seems guests are eager to return to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance without the stress of obtaining a Boarding Group.

If you’re looking to make reservations, you can check out our step-by-step guide here. Do note that reservations are only currently open for Disney Resort Guests with valid admission. On June 26, reservations will open for Annual Passholders, and on June 28, all other existing ticket holders can start booking reservations.

  1. I got my 4 park reservations for my wife and I in August, so I’m good! I am now just waiting on how I can get a refund for my water park and NBA Experience access that I will not be able to use since they are still closed.

  2. I am an annual passholder that has an extra 6 day ticket because of the free dining promotion that was yanked from us that I haven’t been allowed to cancel yet. I also have a resort stay for September booked. We were only able to book 1 day and then everything else was immediately blocked out.

I’ve tried calling Disney ~200 or so times today to get through to their help desk and have been met with a busy signal. I also put in a request by chat at 7:30 AM this morning and got a canned response that didn’t answer my question around 5:30 tonight and the cast member disconnect our chat before I could ask again.

Disney has consistently proven it isn’t able to handle the pandemic or the reopening. It’s so strange to me how much they’ve botched the entire thing. We were at Universal opening weekend for our first trip there and by the end of the day we upgraded as passholders at Universal.
