Disney+ to Launch in Eight Additional European Countries September 15th

From Baby Yoda to Jeff Goldblum, the magic of Disney+ is heading to eight more European nations beginning on September 15th.

According to Variety‘s Naman Ramachandran, that’s the day the streaming service will launch in Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Pricing has also been revealed for the streaming service in these nations:

  • Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Iceland & Finland – €6.99 per month or €69.99 annually (roughly $7.89 and $79.05 USD, respectively)
  • Denmark – DKK 59 kr per month or DKK 589 kr annually (roughly $8.94 and $89.21 USD, respectively)
  • Norway – NOK 69 kr per month or NOK 689 kr per year (roughly $7.26 and $72.45 USD, respectively)
  • Sweden – SEK 69 kr per month or SEK 689 kr per year (roughly $7.42 and $74.06 USD, respectively)

While it’s currently unknown if the service will feature the full current lineup of Disney+ Original programming at launch, confirmed titles include “The Mandalorian,” “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” “Encore!,” “Diary of a Future President,” and “The Imagineering Story,” along with the Disney+ Original Film Togo.

Back in March, the streaming service made its debut in several Western European nations including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland, while France had a delayed launch in April. The first European nation to have Disney+ was the Netherlands, who joined in its global launch on November 12th of last year.
