We’re gearing up for a busy holiday weekend here at Universal Orlando! The weather is beautiful and the crowds are out. Our first stop of the morning is to the Passholder Lounge for the new Bourne Stuntacular UOAP button.

The button is available while supplies last, so make sure you grab one while you can. The show seems to be popular and is consistently drawing crowds throughout the day, so we expect these will be gone quickly.

Guests wait patiently for the chance to see the show, and luckily, the queue is in the shade, for the most part. Once the queue begins to wrap back around into the street, you’ll be directly in the sun. Try to get there early if you hope to catch a show.

Due to a fire alarm in the building, Revenge of the Mummy was temporarily down. The Team Members were doing an excellent job of social distancing while waiting for the all clear to go back in the building. Show them how it’s done, guys!

It’s much more crowded around the park this afternoon than it’s been all week.

Around the middle of the day, many people start to travel from one park to the other. King’s Cross Station was a 60 minute wait.

We’ve enjoyed the quiet, peaceful park for the last few weeks, but the crowds are starting to pick up ahead of the holiday weekend.

Lots of people hanging on benches in the shade. The July heat is here in full force.

People are even considering riding Fast & Furious Supercharged.

It’s busy in Diagon Alley as usual, but a quick rain shower sends people running for cover.

With the rain coming down, people begin to crowd small shops for shelter, which makes it very difficult to social distance. This might be one of the biggest issues we see heading into the summer.

Even more new face masks have arrived. With the latest Gryffindor mask and Fluffy Unicorn mask, there’s quite a variety to choose from.

Honeydukes has some sweet deals, including 2 tins of candy for $15.

The station master is out and greeting guests in Hogsmeade.

Another issue we might see heading into the summer is a lot of people lingering about when the outdoor rides are down due to bad weather. We noticed clusters of people near the entrance of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, waiting for the ride to reopen. Over in Marvel, guests are either riding The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man or just hanging around hoping for The Incredible Hulk Coaster or Doctor Doom’s Fearfall to reopen. When the rides are closed, the crowds start to form.

VelociCoaster is taking over, quietly growing behind tiny construction walls. This towering coaster track is getting closer and closer to completion every day! We can also see more structures rising up around the track. It’s exciting to see it happening before our eyes. Check out for our latest update for more!

A walrus named Rolf! We’ve always loved that wonderful Rolf.

Thanks for joining us today at Universal Orlando. We’ll be back again soon, but until then, the adventure lives on. Stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for all the latest from Universal Parks around the world!
Nice I finally made it to Universal for this weekend. I’m at Volcano bay today and the IOA and USO tomorrow
