PHOTOS, VIDEO: Splash Mountain Reopens After Temporary Closure at the Magic Kingdom

After being closed and drained yesterday and part of today, Splash Mountain has reopened to guests at the Magic Kingdom.

Empty logs were sent out first as the ride prepared to reopen.

With word getting out that the ride had reopened, guests passed by the closed Briar Patch shop.

The ride has been popular since the park reopened this month as it prepares to permanently close to make way for a Princess and the Frog attraction. Wait times reached 60 minutes when we were there.

Soon, guests were zipping their way along to the Laughin’ Place!

The ride has experienced a rash of downtime and delayed openings at the park, likely caused by technical difficulties.
