My Disney Experience now shows the attraction as “Temporarily Unavailable.” The attraction remains closed at the Magic Kingdom, where it has yet to welcome guests since the park reopened on July 11th. Prior to reopening, the attraction didn’t operate during Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews. The last time the attraction was open was in March, before it was closed for a week ahead of the park’s temporary shutdown.

No explanation has been given as to the ride’s extended closure. The last reported incident was a possible fire near either the attraction’s entrance/exit ramp or at The Lunching Pad nearby, though it’s unknown if that’s connected to the lengthy downtime.

Keep reading WDWNT for continuing coverage of the closure.
