Walt Disney World Calling Resort Guests to Reiterate Theme Park Reservation Requirements and Arrival Times Ahead of Reopening Today

Today is the day we have been waiting for: the reopening of Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World! Like us, many guests woke up this morning in resort hotels, eagerly awaiting their first day back in the parks.

In order to help the reopenings go smoothly, Walt Disney World has just made resort-wide phone calls to each room, advising guests on what to expect on their trip back.

The first thing to remember is that all guests must be in possession of a valid park admission ticket, and must secure a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the theme park.

It was also advised that guests must not arrive at the parks prior to their reopening time. Most resort transportation is not running until 30 minutes before park open, so if you’re used to the usual 2-hour transportation window before the park opens, do keep that in mind.

Any Disney parks pro will usually say that getting to the parks ahead of rope-drop is the best way to start a Disney day, however, to avoid crowding and help aid social distancing, guests must not arrive early during this time. Not to worry, though, since the limited-capacity openings are sure to mean that everyone will get on their favorite attractions today!

Make sure to join WDWNT today to keep up with all the news from the park reopenings. Have a magical day!

  1. So…if we can’t arrive at the park before reopening time… WHY DO THEY HAVE A 10 AM BOARDING GROUP FOR RISE OF THE RESISTANCE?!?!?!?!?! You need to be past security and the ticket station before you can join the queue. Disney must think their “valued guests” are complete idiots, and have zero value for them. As long as they squeeze out as much money as they can, they’re good.
