Good morning from another magical day at the Magic Kingdom! We had a busy day here finding lots of new merchandise, both long-awaited and brand new. While crowds seemed to be a bit denser on the ground, wait times did not climb higher than normal, and no long lines for food were spotted. Let’s get started!
As we saw two days ago, the moat surrounding Cinderella Castle was refilled with water following the completing of the makeover project on the castle and rock work below. The East side dam was removed, but the West side dam was left partially intact, until now. Today, we saw the dam had been completely removed, and the waterway is now completely free flowing.
Frontier Trading Post, Magic Kingdom’s hub for pin trading and Limited Edition pins, reopened this morning for the first time since the parks closed in March for COVID-19. With Limited Edition pin releases now relegated to shopDisney, we’re unsure what Limited Edition stock, if any, stores like Frontier Trading Post will be able to sell, but for now, most of the LE pins from March are available here.
Construction at TRON Lightcycle Run is powering along, although not much can be seen from our vantage point in the parks. Are you excited for this ride to open? Let us know in the comments!
Wait times weren’t too bad today, but some lines seemed incongruously long in comparison to the time. Following a brief rain shower, guests lined up to watch the Country Bear Jamboree with just 10 minutes remaining until the next show.
At Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, guests were expecting a 35 minute wait. Judging by how quickly the line was progressing, we believe they could have made it!
Splash Mountain did not open prior to 9am this morning, so guests wishing to ride this attraction first thing in the morning formed their own line to enter once it did open.
“it’s a small world” was the only attraction that we saw that gave us pause. While the posted wait time was 10 minutes, the line for the attraction filled the auxiliary queue with switch backs through the silver barricades in the background, then wrapped around the landscaping island and continued down the walkway.
The magnets from D-tech On Demand have been packaged in clear plastic with cardstock hangers to help reduce touch points across the parks for guests and Cast Members. Since personalization is not an option with these magnets, they can be printed ahead of time.
A lot of the new Haunted Mansion merchandise materialized into the park today, making the store for the attraction, Momento Mori, the place to be. This button-down was quite a winner today, and size selection went quickly.
We found an adorable new dog costume, complete with a wig! You can now dress your dog up to look like Tinkerbell, and he or she can sport this fantastic wig with topknot in order to complete the look.
New ears swept in to the Magic Kingdom today, and we couldn’t help but fall in love the pretty purple pastel vibes.
We love all of the Character Cavalcades, but the Goofy Cavalcade always makes me want to dance along. We’re so glad we got to spend the day here! We had a wonderful day, we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
