The Cinderella Castle moat has been refilled at the Magic Kingdom following the completion of the castle repainting project. Now covered in hues of rose pink, royal blue, and gold trim, the castle shimmers brightly as the beacon of the Most Magical Place on Earth.

The water levels surrounding the castle walls have now begun to rise after equipment was moved out from the site to finally restore the area to its pre-project state.

Water can be seen throughout the moat around the castle, although water levels are still low due to dams still in place by the Adventureland side.

Draining the moat surrounding the castle was the first step in the Cinderella Castle reimagining project, clearing out the space so that the lifts could be rolled in near to the castle walls for painting to begin. Now that the water is back, the project is now in its final stages.

Once the dams to the west side of the castle are removed, we expect water levels to return to normal inside the moat.

  1. Do I like it? To be honest? Nope. Much preferred the WDW castle in blue and Disneyland in shades of pink.
