PHOTOS: Splash Mountain Briar Patch Windows Covered at the Magic Kingdom

In the wake of its announced closure, Splash Mountain merchandise has proven to be wildly popular at the Magic Kingdom. But something unusual seems to be happening at the Briar Patch…

The windows into the shop have been covered over in plastic. While the reason for this is currently unknown, it does suggest that it may be closed for a while.

Splashdown Photos, located at the exit to Splash Mountain, has become a somewhat more reliable home for attraction merchandise, though items are quickly snapped up after being restocked.

Splash Mountain itself has been suffering from recent troubles. Over the weekend, guests evacuated a log as it began to sink into the water. The following morning, the attraction experienced a delayed reopening before welcoming guests.

I hope the people rushing to hoard all the splash mountain merch overestimated the demand and wind up just sitting on stockpiles that no one ever buys.
