As the Walt Disney World theme parks reopen to the public, we’ve seen many policies change and park updates occur as Disney learns the best way to keep guests safe. Most notably, a recent update to the face mask policy stated that guests were required to remain stationary whilst eating or drinking in the resort, in order to prevent guests walking around without facial coverings whilst holding food or beverages.
Today, we found an additional change in an already updated attraction, as Plexiglas dividers have been added to the pre-show area inside Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Originally, as you can see in our photo report from when Rise of the Resistance first reopened, guests were just asked to stand on their indicated number to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Now, the addition of the dividers offer a further level of protection to guests, in a move which we have already seen implemented on other attractions across the resort since its reopening. The stylized dividers act as a guard between guests, whilst not taking away from the impressive “Star Wars” theming to the attraction.
We’re happy to see Disney is continuing to change and adapt to guests’ needs during this time following the COVID-19 pandemic.
