We have been keeping an eye on the exterior construction at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT for a while now.

We saw workers at the front of the roof, near where scaffolding is covered with a brown scrim.

The last row of solar panel mounts have been installed on the roof, so we should hopefully be seeing the solar panels themselves being installed soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open sometime in 2021, though we don’t know exactly how much construction was delayed due to COVID-19. We recently reported on construction moving to the interior of the show building, so things seem to be advancing quickly.

Are you excited for the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Guess I’m not a roller-coaster fan. And there were so many interesting things going on in Ellen’s Energy Adventure, including Bill Nye the Science Guy, and the fantastic dinosaur scenes. And somewhere, Ellen is still fighting that giant snake!

  2. One of the things that is making the wait for a revisit to the parks a bit more bearable is seeing all the new things being built and knowing, when I can revisit, all the cool attractions that will be available. Guardians, Ratatouille, Runaway Train, all of Galaxy’s Edge & Toy Story Land (yeah, it’s been waaaay too long since I’ve been there), and everything that’s in the works for Epcot.

When I can go back, it’s gonna be an epic, multi-week (I’m thinking as in 3 weeks) staying at Animal Kingdom, Contemporary Resort, and maybe Beach Club. And just utterly filling my soul with all things WDW.
