Sadly, guests will have to keep waiting to enjoy the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover as the closure continues at the Magic Kingdom.
The A-frame sign indicating the attraction’s closure was out on display again when we stopped by. This time, they’ve changed it slightly—it now says “This Attraction is Not Operating Today.” Recently, the attraction was listed as “Temporarily Unavailable” on My Disney Experience, suggesting that it may remain closed for an extended period of time.
Prior to the Magic Kingdom’s reopening, the attraction didn’t operate during Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews. The last time the attraction was open was in March, before it was closed for a week ahead of the park’s temporary shutdown.
No explanation has been given as to the ride’s extended closure. The last reported incident was a possible fire near either the attraction’s entrance/exit ramp or at The Lunching Pad nearby, though it’s unknown if that’s connected to the lengthy downtime.
Keep reading WDWNT for continuing coverage of the closure.
still closed huh? probably seasonal, you know what this means, it could close forever
They are replacing the magnetic strips along the track. The ride will be down for a couple of months
This has not really been confirmed.
Attendance would be higher if the People Mover was open. 😉
The only news regarding this attraction should be for when it finally reopens.
