Yesterday, we posted our latest update on Disney Park Pass availability, with a full run-down of what’s available for each guest type through December. (Warning: Disney’s Hollywood Studios is filling up for Annual Passholders in December already!) Thankfully for October, though, availability has been replenished early on in the month for all guest types, including Annual Passholders.
To check for the most current and up-to-date Disney Park Pass availability, you can take a look at the calendar here. As a reminder, Annual Passholders are limited to three rolling Park Pass reservations at a time, in addition to any acquired via a Disney Resort hotel stay.
October Park Passes for Annual Passholders
Annual Passholders now have full availability through October 15, with limited availability through the rest of the month on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom.
October Park Passes for Disney Resort Guests
For Disney Resort guests, things have been swapped around a bit, with only Oct. 5 – 8 and 16 -17 showing limited availability, and the rest of the month with full availability. Previously, Columbus Day weekend was mostly booked up.

The calendar for Theme Park Tickets guests shows the same availability as for Disney Resort guests now.

Do you think this replenishment is the result of an increase in capacity?
Only WDW insiders could truly know that I’d think. Even with the phase 3 approval, Disney has remained skeptical they’d take advantage of the capacity increase due to the fact that an outbreak right now could cost more than additional attendance in the short term and result in a PR nightmare. My gut tells me the replenishment keeps happening due to them not meeting true phase 2 capacity even when “all park passes are gone” for a particular day. Something tells me this is a tactic that is backfiring due to it being primarily AP’s filling the parks right now. WDW is trying to lean out the attendance of folks already on board and paying and trying to bring in revenue from vacationers and resort occupants which aren’t turning up yet as they had hoped. Thus creating additional availability by scaling back what they’ve reserved for the hopefuls.
I have a trip planned Oct 4th thru the 8th staying at Pop. When we booked park was at a very low capacity, does this mean that they will be full again? This will be my first trip to WDW we are west coast so Disneyland is our home park. I guess I’m looking for a percentage #, I’m expecting crowds at this point. Any feedback is appreciated.
Hi, Susan. My wife and I attend the parks at least once a week. The busiest of all the parks right now is undoubtedly Hollywood Studios. That said, these pass availability options have not shown us any significant correlation to actual crowd levels when visiting whether there is availability or there isn’t. We’ve also noticed that 30-45 minute wait times specified at the park, more often than not, tend to be less than posted. The back half of the day closer to closing time at HS tends to clear up rather nicely. Animal Kingdom, once the crown jewel before Rise of the Resistance and due to Flight of Passage, has become one of the quieter parks among the 4 now ironically enough due to covid and new park regulations. You and the family should be more than fine as far as crowd levels are concerned.
Okay, sooooo how the heck do you book the reservations??? I’ve been trying since last night when I booked resort and tickets. I go to see availability and I get booted out! It’s only for 1 person. My understanding is that the system would not let you in put dates for the tickets if passes were gone. It let me input my tickets. Now what??
