We at WDWNT employ some great photographers who scour the Disney and Universal parks and resorts around the world to show you the best there is. So each week, we will be rounding up the seven best images captured by our photographers, whether they made it into a story this week or not, and bringing them to you in a Weekly Recap just like we do with our story Weekly Recaps. So let’s dive right in to the seven best photos for the week of September 14-20, 2020.

Magic Kingdom

It’s Halloween season again, and that means Halloween decorations all over the park. These pumpkin Mickey wreaths line Main Street, U.S.A all the way up to Cinderella Castle.

And, of course, the festive Halloween balloons are back as well. Pair them with a melancholy grey sky, and it’s looking like Halloween already.

The buildings of Main Street, U.S.A received a little decoration as well. Overall, there are fewer Halloween decorations than usual, but we are still happy to see something put up for the season.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is getting into the “Spirit” of the season with its own decorations and festive foods as well. Here, the Pumpkin Minnie Mousse treat glints beautifully in the sun. The Fall Into Magic sign in the background makes this a great photo.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The seating area for Flame Tree Barbecue recently installed wires to deter birds from coming into the area while guests are dining. Our photographer captured a quiet moment in the seating area with stark shadows and vibrant colors. This oft-overlooked dining place features several covered seating areas, each one full of their own unique and beautifully carved wooden animal or insect motifs above. Guests can sit on the elegantly carved wood chairs while they enjoy their lunch, or just sit and relax to get out of the Florida Summer rain.

EPCOT

This S’mores Whoopie Pie is new to the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. It comes from the recently reopened Flavors from Fire booth, and it was just as delicious as it looks.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

WDWNT also covers Universal Studios parks around the world through our sister site, UniversalParksNewsToday.com. Our photographer caught the new InGen ride vehicle being tested on the “Velocicoaster” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This coaster looks like it’s going to be intense — just look at that banked turn!
