Refurbishment continues at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which will be reopening next summer with some Moana-themed rooms and an upgraded Great Ceremonial House.

Christmas decorations have arrived at the Great Ceremonial House, though the building remains mostly empty and quiet.

The second elevator is currently under refurbishment.

Concept art of the future Great Ceremonial House is on display by the front doors, which are currently emergency exits only.

Outside, more crossbeams have been installed on the roof.

The new design will be reminiscent of the old, but more streamlined.

Construction continues at the entrance to the Great Ceremonial House, with several construction vehicles parked out front.

Plants and trees are being removed, so some areas are pretty messy with palm fronds right now.
