Though Space 220 in EPCOT has no opening date, we do know that construction has been moving steadily. We spotted the restaurant’s sign back in September, and some fences came down last month. Now Disney has given us our first look inside the restaurant during the IAAPA Expo today.

Guests inside the restaurant will feel like they’re in space as they gaze down on Earth from an altitude of 220 miles. You can see the futuristic-style lounge seating, which takes up two levels. Some tables line the walls of the space station, against the windows that show spectacular views of Earth and space. Furnishings are grey, black, and silver to further the futuristic feel.

Space 220 was originally supposed to open at EPCOT in winter 2019. After delays, it was scheduled to open in April, but was delayed once again due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  1. I’m sure they have a lot more work to do and I bet it’ll be cool when it’s finished but so far it looks really ugly

    • Well, I hope the food is spectacular because the way the place looks so far won’t draw a crowd, at least not in a good way.
