Walt Disney World has announced that Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be officially reopening to guests on June 6. Up until now, only the resort’s Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas have been open for DVC guests. The resort is slated to reopen with newly-refurbished rooms featuring a cleaner, more modern look.

  1. Love your article, hate the new rooms! The new rooms look like any other business class rooms we can find at any hotel anywhere. BORING Decor. And I miss the soaking tub! Is this just a test or have they decided to Remodel all the rooms at WL? The last time Wilderness lodge was remodeled, I loved the fixtures from the Lodge so much that I bought a set, and now my bedroom looks better than these “new” rooms at WL! The new rooms have Nothing that screams DISNEY or WL anymore! This is an expensive resort and it used to be my absolute favorite! I loved all the woodsy touches it used to have! Now the rooms don’t say “this is a Disney resort”! Now you have to leave your room just to find some Wilderness finishes. Does anyone know if any old (un-plainified) rooms available to us when we make our reservations for spring 2022? If not, I guess we could just do some ‘day visits’ at WL and stay at a different resort.
