Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have both reached capacity as of 7:30 AM. Signs at the entrance warn guests of the current situation:
Universal Orlando Resort has since released an official update, although they state that the parks reached capacity by 8:10 AM:
The parks have had a recent string of capacity closures, filling up every day since Sunday. This prompted Universal Orlando Resort to warn guests last night of possibly reaching capacity today. Just yesterday, the parks closed to new guests before 9 AM, with no reopening later in the day. You can see our report on just how crowded the parks have been during these last few days here.
Last night, Universal asked guests with flexible plans to consider visiting on another day, but with tomorrow being New Year’s Eve, it’s likely this streak of reaching capacity could continue into the beginning of 2021.
