EPCOT

- Plume et Palette and La Signature have finally reopened in the France Pavilion of EPCOT
- Tokyo Dining will be reopening for a very limited time starting this weekend at the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT, just in time for New Year’s Eve
- As Disney continues to take over operations of the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT, a new champagne bar has opened up in the outdoor seating area next to Tangierine Cafe
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- You can now get a wider view of Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the newest Disney PhotoPass Super Zoom Magic Shot that takes viewers from a close-up shot of guests to a wide view of Mount Everest
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- While no one knows exactly how far the Moana re-theme will go at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, a recent permit may indicate that it may affect common spaces throughout the resort as well, spanning beyond just guest rooms, as Walt Disney World has filed a permit for general construction at the location of the Polynesian’s main Lava Pool, with possible Moana theming to come
- We’re checking up on the major refurbishment of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to see what has changed since our last update, and it appears that the Monorail platform is being dismantled
- According to the Walt Disney World website, the to-go counter at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop in Disney’s Beach Club Resort is currently unavailable and then later in the day we reported that, according to Cast Members at the location, it closed because social distancing was difficult for both the Cast Members and guests during busy hours
Other Walt Disney World News
- After additional retail and dining locations were announced for Flamingo Crossings near Walt Disney World, Flamingo Crossings Village is now accepting applications for renters in their new apartments that were initially slated to house College Program participants (which won’t be happening for a while, because the program is indefinitely cancelled)
Disneyland Resort
- Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho, it’s off to Disneyland Resort we go for a first look inside “Snow White’s Enchanted Wish”, the newly renamed and reimagined version of Snow White’s Scary Adventures in Disneyland park
- According to The Orange County Register‘s Brady MacDonald, the Power of One Foundation held a Christmas food bank at the Disneyland Resort on Monday to assist laid-off Cast Members and locals who have been hit hard as a result the COVID-19 pandemic
Disney Cruise Line
- Though many 2020 and 2021 Disney Cruise Line sailings have been canceled or removed from the website, guests can still book their Spring 2022 Bahamian and Caribbean cruises now
Adventures by Disney
- Adventures by Disney has suspended most of their departures through the end of March 2021, as well as three April Disneyland Resort adventures
New Merchandise
- Tokyo Disney Resort has been on a roll lately releasing new additions to their Tomica die-cast ride vehicle collection, and now that line is expanding even more, with new die-cast vehicles of Toy Story Mania at Tokyo DisneySea, and Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek at Tokyo Disneyland coming to the parks on December 23rd
- The Minnie Mouse sparkling champagne ear headband first announced in November is now available in Disneyland Resort
- If you’re still looking for a holiday gift for the technophile in your family, you can find some very Disney-fied stocking stuffers at the Disneyland Resort, including new character AirPod charging cases, PopSockets, and clear Mickey iPhone cases
- Despite what some people say, there are a lot of folks who love getting clothes for the holidays… especially when it comes from The Happiest Place on Earth, and that’s great because there’s new apparel for all ages now at the Disneyland Resort, along with a couple of items to help welcome in the new year
- Three MagicBands we’ve previously found at Walt Disney World are now available on shopDisney: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s 40th-anniversary MagicBand, a Jungle Cruise MagicBand, and the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2020 MagicBand
Entertainment and Media
- ESPN has announced that The Muppets have a special holiday surprise coming to tonight’s Monday Night Football Steelers vs. Bengals game — according to the message from Kermit, fans can expect to see him, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Statler, Waldorf, and Animal at tonight’s game
Disney+
- Disney+ recently announced its new programming through February 2021, and among the new series is “Disney Parks Sunrise”, which began streaming on Friday
- As teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the season finale of The Mandalorian, the legendary bounty hunter’s journey will continue in The Book of Boba Fett, and after some confusion regarding Friday’s announcement, it’s been confirmed that the series will be a standalone one, and not a takeover of The Mandalorian for its third season
The Walt Disney Company
- The Walt Disney Company has announced new environmental goals for 2030 focused on five main areas: greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, materials, and sustainable design
