ALERT: Tornado Watch Issued for Walt Disney World Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the county in which Disney World and Universal Studios Florida reside from 5:00 PM EST until midnight.

If you’re spending time in the parks or resorts this evening, please be aware of the weather as it can rapidly deteriorate.

For tornado terminology, please note that a TORNADO WATCH means that conditions are favorable for the formation of a tornado. However, It does not mean that a tornado has touched down or been spotted in the area. A TORNADO WARNING means that a tornado has been spotted in the area. If you see this warning, please take all precautions and seek shelter immediately.

We will be closely monitoring the weather throughout the evening here at WDWNT and will update here if conditions change.

We definitely do if the weather will change operations. You know, hurricanes and stuff. Happens once a year or so.
