Included in the 50th Anniversary-transformation of the Cinderella Castle is a refurbished castle stage at Magic Kingdom. Installation of the framework for the new stage flooring began the other day, and now even more has been put in place.
While Cinderella Castle has been adorned with some new décor for its makeover, the stage is in the process of receiving a makeover of its own.
After the removal of its platforms and flooring, a layer of weather-proofing was added to cover the base of the stage and now the framework for new flooring is being installed.
It seems as though the left half of the stage has been completed as far as framework goes. There’s now a small border dividing the stage into its two sides. From what we have been told, this type of flooring with a less solid design will be easier on the feet of performers.
As the work on the castle stage continues, the front of Cinderella Castle remains blocked off with scrim and temporary shrubs.
