It was announced that the Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom will be transformed to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. In preparation for its makeover, shrubbery has been lined up in front of Cinderella Castle and now the stage in front of the park icon has been cleared.

The temporary shrubs are placed strategically to cover the makeover process.

However, grey scrim is still fairly visible.

The stage itself has been cleared, with all of the platforms torn down.

Left bare, this area is now covered with grey tarp.

While the stage has been cleared, the moat surrounding Cinderella Castle is in the process of being drained for even more 50th-anniversary preparations.
