The newest piece of bunting added to Cinderella Castle for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” is the first visible from Main Street, U.S.A.
The bunting is on a turret on the castle’s west side.
Though it was a grey morning, the repainted “EARidescent” turrets were still obvious next to the roofing that has not been repainted.
This new piece of bunting is the same as the most recent one added to another west side turret.
These larger pieces are made to look like they attach by three jewels, with three ribbons hanging down from them.
Though the castle’s east side does have some decoration, the west side currently has more.
The stage is also being refurbished at this time, with new flooring being installed.
The ribbons of this bunting are the castle’s new signature gold and blue.
The jewels are blue embedded in gold.
The 50th anniversary decorations are partially inspired by Mary Blair’s original artwork for Cinderella, and Walt Disney Imagineering released a new piece of artwork to reflect that. “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” will officially begin on October 1, 2021, Magic Kingdom’s 50th birthday.
