A new sundae has made its debut at the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop during “A Touch of Disney” in Disney California Adventure and it may be the perfect treat for caramel fans.
Gold Rush Caramel Sundae – $13.75
Vanilla ice cream, sea salt, diced almonds, caramel sauce, and whipped cream topped with a Ghiradelli Squares White Chocolate Caramel
This sundae was amazing! The vanilla ice cream was great quality while being soft without melting quickly.
The caramel sauce as well as the white chocolate caramel square helped add some extra richness to the sundae. The caramel sauce was thick and sticky, but we’re not complaining. It blended really well with the icecream.
The almonds are placed at the bottom and top of the treat, making it easy to get a little bit with every bite, adding a much-needed crunch.
The portion size was large so we do recommend sharing this. It is a bit more expensive but for the portion size, quality, and flavor, this is a great option!
While guests can now go to Ghiradelli thanks to “A Touch of Disney,” Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop does not accept the Disney Dining Cards given for the ticketed event. We found this sundae last year at Walt Disney World — but it just tastes so sweet to enjoy treats at Disneyland Resort again!
Sorry, but not a fan. When you say “Gold Rush” from Ghirardelli, all I think of is the PEANUT BUTTER SUACE version. Not this “Fools Gold”. Hey, thats what they should have called it.
