While Cars Road Trip gets ready to welcome guests when Disneyland Paris reopens sometime “down the road,” we’ve got a new look at one of the scenes featured in the new attraction coming to Walt Disney Studios Park.
OutsidEars on Twitter has discovered schematics for the “World’s Biggest Lug Nut” scene, which will feature Lightning McQueen as he “races” through the lug nut. The diagrams come from Italian engineering firm Studio Boccuni, who worked on the project. The above illustration focuses on the paint colors and mattes that will be used in the final piece. Do note that it is an immobile statue of the character.
OutsidEars also showed off some of the diagrams seemingly connected to how it should look when complete, as well as some art.
And what’s a lug nut without a wrench to tighten and loosen it? Above and below are concept art and schematics of the open-ended wrench that will stuck up from out of the ground nearby.
All in all, it sure will be something to look at when guests pass by. Below, you can see concept art of the finished design:
No reopening date for the park has been announced as of the writing of this article, though it has been confirmed that Cars Road Trip will open with Walt Disney Studios Park whenever that is.

Most of the Cars characters are highly offensive and are racial stereotypes that make fun of European-Americans. This is culturally offensive to me and many others. Disney should remove these offensive characters from all of the parks.
