PHOTOS: Painting Continues on Fantasyland Roofs for 50th Anniversary Makeover at Magic Kingdom

While the repainting of Cinderella Castle continues, roofing in Fantasyland is also being repainted to match the new hue in preparation for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

Since we first reported on one of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique turrets getting a fresh coat of paint, more of the building’s roof has been painted.

The righthand section of roofing and the small adjacent turret are all a shinier shade of royal blue than the roofing on the rest of the building. In the photo above, you can see the stark contrast between the two shades.

Yesterday, the roof and second turret were not yet completed, but now the building looks more uniform.

We expect to see the rest of the roof repainted in the coming weeks as preparations are underway for Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary later this year. Decorations are being quickly added to Cinderella Castle, although “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” is still four months away. Keep checking WDWNT for updates.
