The reimagining of EPCOT keeps moving forward. Construction crews were active today at the site of a future new restaurant offering that is replacing the former Electric Umbrella.

A crane was present as work was taking place on a new addition to the structure.

What looks like it will be a support beam protrudes from the existing facade. We believe it will support a new rounded edge of the roof, eliminating the harsh cut in the shape of the building.

Metal framing is visible on the exterior of the building.

A look inside the new restaurant space. Not much can be seen from outside the construction area.

Work is being done around the new beam, which juts out of the awning.

Work also continues in the breezeway that connects the new restaurant space to the upcoming Creations Shop, which is replacing MouseGear. Club Cool will also be reappearing adjacent to the Creations Shop.

It appears they may be lowering the ceiling, but it is hard to tell at this point.
