As we approach Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary only four and a half months away, some areas of the park are getting much-needed refreshes. In addition to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station in Storybook Circus, Dumbo the Flying Elephant is being repainted.
The right side of the attraction’s queue was repainted a few days ago. Now the tent at the center of the two-sided attraction has been touched up.
For now, it’s only the front of the building that has been repainted with bright blues, reds, and yellows.
We could see where painting ended on the left side, as the bright red suddenly met old faded paint.
The “D” logo at the center of the tent still needs a refresh, as some of the golden yellow paint has flaked off.
It also seems they didn’t put a tarp over poor Dumbo when repainting the tent.
There are blue flecks of paint on his ear.
The left side of the exterior queue has yet to be repainted and can be compared to the rest of the attraction.
The colors of this roof certainly seem dull compared to those on the other side.
Fantasyland is seeing the most refurbishment ahead of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning October 1. The facade of Peter Pan’s Flight is currently receiving a major refurbishment, and the facade of “it’s a small world” was completed late last year. Refurbishment of various roofs has also been carrying on.

It’s nice to see they are painting it though I do question the quality and just how much they care when they don’t put a tarp on Dumbo. Though it also makes me think they might be repainting dumbo which is why they didn’t care which if they do I think would be nice but if they don’t it really just shows how little they care.
