REVIEW: Expedition Everest Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Yeti Sundae at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Happy birthday to Expedition Everest! The high-speed, heart-pounding adventure through the Forbidden Mountain opened on this day in 2006. To celebrate, why not stop by the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck for a Yeti Sundae? This is the second treat themed to Expedition Everest to debut this month at Animal Kingdom.

Yeti Sundae – $5.49

An artistic interpretation of the attraction that inspired it, the Yeti Sundae features chocolate ice cream on the bottom and vanilla on top to give it that snow-covered mountain look.

What’s a birthday without cake? This sundae is topped with soft and moist cake crumbs. It reminded us of a cake pop.

The soft-serve is a classic, and the cake crumbs add a great texture. The combination goes well together, and you won’t be buried in an avalanche of flavors.

Snowflake sprinkles are scattered across the ice cream peak, along with blue sugar sprinkles.

This scoop’s real star is a chocolate medallion that features the abominable beast himself: the Yeti. He’s as fierce as he is tasty!

This sundae makes regular soft-serve fun to eat again with the little extra touches that make it unique. We would definitely make the expedition to enjoy this treat again!
