The next runDisney virtual series is celebrating the timeless nature of The Lion King. Each 5K honors a different version of the story: the original animated classic, the Broadway musical, and the reimagined “live-action” film.

The first of the three virtual 5Ks is The Timeless Classic. The medal features the animated young Simba with his mane of red feathers around him.

The Broadway Phenomenon medal features the grown-up Simba headdress.

The Reimagined Classic features Rafiki lifting baby Simba up into the air.

Finally, those who register for the Virtual Challenge for all three races will get all the 5K medals plus a challenge medal featuring Rafiki’s drawing of Simba.

Registration opens Thursday, April 8 at 10:00 AM ET on runDisney.com. Registration for a single 5K is $40, while registration for all three races is $145. Registration includes the medal, a downloadable themed bib, and an at-home tool kit including a starting line, finishing line, and mile markers.
