Magic Kingdom

- While standard character meet-and-greets remain suspended at Walt Disney World, characters continue to make distanced appearances and at Magic Kingdom, guests can now catch Belle near her father’s cottage in Fantasyland
EPCOT
- There has been a lot of work going on for the Harmonious barges floating in World Showcase Lagoon, and today we are seeing light testing on the ring arms and some new equipment appear on an additional work barge
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- With a scheduled grand opening date of September 1st looming, the construction work on the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve hotel nears completion
Other Walt Disney World News

- A new sign with a QR code at Walt Disney World attractions helps guests ensure their attraction photo will be linked to their Disney account
- Walt Disney World Annual Passholders have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of their complimentary Orange Bird magnets, which celebrate the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and they are now being delivered by mail
- Walt Disney World theme park hours have been released from July 11 through July 17, having previously been released through July 10
Disneyland Resort

- On the latest episode of the D23 Inside Disney Podcast, Disneyland President Ken Potrock made two fairly big announcements regarding the reopening of the Jungle Cruise and the debut of the new annual pass membership program
- According to MoffettNathanson, the Disneyland resort has lost an estimated $4.3 billion in revenue during closure

- Today, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa reopened to guests after being closed since March 2020
- With today’s reopening of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa comes the reopening of its Acorns Gifts & Goods store, offering Disneyland and Grand Californian souvenirs and other sundries
- We checked in to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and, after some shopping, headed to our room — a woods-courtyard view room with two queen beds — and we want you to come along with us for a tour
- Along with the excited guests returning to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa came equally excited Cast Members in various functions wearing new costumes
- Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland Resort reopened today, and for now, the GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill are some of the only dining locations open, so we decided to stop in and give them a try
- We also stopped in to the Hearthstone Lounge, the only other eatery open at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to see what they have to offer the newly-returned guests
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Today, the Oriental Land Company held its annual fiscal year results meeting for FY2020, and as expected, results were not great at best due to the major impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and fluctuating restrictions surrounding theme parks in Japan
Disney Cruise Line

- During today’s “Once Upon A Wish” special about Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Wish, Cruise Director Ashley Long announced that bookings would open on May 27, 2021
- Each Disney Cruise Line ship boasts special experiences for kids age three to 12 in Disney’s Oceaneer Club and the Disney Wish is no exception, with several brand new experiences that kids will enjoy
- The next Disney Cruise Line ship, Disney Wish, will include several new themed family restaurants including Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, 1923, and Worlds of Marvel
- Among the more adult offerings on Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Wish, will be the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge
- As with all Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Wish will include restaurants and lounges exclusively for adults and three of these locations are inspired by different aspects of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

- Disney’s “first attraction at sea” will be the AquaMouse, coming to Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish when it sets sail next year
- While not many details were announced about the Broadway-style shows coming to the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the Disney Wish, a reimagined version of Disney Cruise Line’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular will be among those performed
- The staterooms of Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish will be storybook-inspired, featuring artwork and elegant details from Disney films such as Cinderella
New Merchandise

- With the reopening of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa comes a ton of new merchandise inspired by the hotel
- The newest ears in the Disney Parks Designer Collection are celebrating National Denim Day and are now available at Walt Disney World
- The new Loungefly Minnie Mouse wristlet, which can also work as a belt bag, is now available at Walt Disney World
- Two new pins have arrived at Disney Traders in the World Showcase Plaza at EPCOT that are part of the Rainbow Disney Collection, a line of Pride merchandise that debuted last year
