Cast Members Still Required to Wear Face Coverings When Outdoors at Walt Disney World

With the massive announcement this evening that Walt Disney World would no longer require face coverings in many outdoor areas for guests, it was not immediately addressed how this change would impact Cast Members.

Despite a recent loosening of the policy on face shields, today’s change on face coverings outdoors is not being extended to Cast Members. Cast will still need to wear an approved face coverings even when outside, as they have since the parks first reopened.

On the flip side, temperature checks were removed for Cast Members on May 8th, while guests are expected to continue the screenings for one more day, ending on May 16th.

Be sure to follow WDWNT for the latest updates on these changing safety measures.
