Walt Disney World Adding Park Pass Availability for Ticket and Resort Guests, Nothing Yet Added for Annual Passholders

During yesterday’s quarterly financial results conference call, Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek stated that capacity was already being increased, and would continue to be increased, as a result of loosening CDC guidelines. Now, we’re seeing those capacity changes reflected in the Park Pass reservation system.

In the remainder of May, and most of June, all Walt Disney World theme parks are nearly completely open for booking to Theme Park Ticket and Select Resort Hotels guests. The Memorial Day Weekend and start of summer has been a highly-coveted time for travelers, and many of these dates were unavailable, and passes for Disney’s Hollywood Studios were already replenished once before.

Unfortunately for Annual Passholders, the increased capacity doesn’t seem to be trickling down to them as of the time of publishing. The remaining three weekends in May are completely unavailable, as they have been for some time. Weekdays have spotty availability, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios being totally sold out, and other parks having inconsistent availability.

While most of June is still open for Annual Passholders, the three-pass limit means they tend to book on shorter notice as they wait for one of their reservation slots to be available. Close-in availability, especially on weekends, is the most important for Passholders and has yet to be replenished despite Resort & Ticket guests having those same weekends restored.

  1. Hey I got an orange bird magnet. Isn’t that what having an AP is for? Why should I expect to visit the parks I’m paying to visit TOO??

  2. I just logged in to make a reservation for June and I am only seeing Epcot available for the next month and a half. Is it possible more slots will open up for other parks?

    • No, won’t happen if your an AP holder. Epcot is the only park you can get into. They figure you’ll spend money on food there, as there isn’t much to do if you are going for attractions. Disney no longer cares about their AP holders. They only give AP the leftover scraps for the day which typically don’t release until it’s too late to try to plan on getting there, at least for us locals. Chapek is running Disney into the ground.
