A week ago, runDisney announced that in-person events would be resuming this year, starting with the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend powered by AfterShokz on November 4-7, 2021. We now have more details about the weekend, including the themes.
The entire event will be inspired by the Disney Villains, with each race celebrating a different bad guy.
- Disney Wine & Dine 5K: The Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Disney Wine & Dine 10K: Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas
- Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon: Yzma from Emperor’s New Groove
- Two Course Challenge: Ursula from The Little Mermaid
General registration opens on July 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM ET.
Those who aren’t able to make it to Walt Disney World but still want to participate can join the course of their choosing virtually to run at home. General registration for the virtual weekend will open on July 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM ET.
