Disney Cruise Line Altering Select Fall Sailings to Remove Visit to Nassau

Disney Cruise Line is altering the itineraries of select sailings on the Disney Dream in September and October. Four-night sailings will now include a second day at their private island, Castaway Cay, instead of a day at Nassau.

Here is the new itinerary for four-night sailings leaving 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, and 10/4.

Monday – Port Canaveral, Florida
Tuesday – Day at Sea
Wednesday – Disney Castaway Cay
Thursday – Disney Castaway Cay
Friday – Port Canaveral, Florida

Three-night sailings will also get rid of the visit to Nassau and replace it with a day at sea. here is the new itinerary for these sailings leaving 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, and 10/8.

Friday – Port Canaveral, Florida
Saturday – Day at Sea
Sunday – Disney Castaway Cay
Monday – Port Canaveral, Florida

SeaMails for these itinerary changes will be sent to impacted Guests today.

This change comes with rising COVID-19 cases in both Florida and the Bahamas. The Bahamas recently implemented a policy requiring all eligible cruise passengers to be vaccinated, and Disney Cruise Line later updated their policy to also require vaccinations. The CDC recommends that those who are at high risk not sail.

  1. honestly, this is a good thing even without Covid. Nassau just isn’t that fun when you come off the ship and people start pestering you with tours. I would much prefer going to Castaway Cay twice.
