Magic Kingdom

- It was a magical morning in Magic Kingdom, full of sunshine and new merchandise! No time to waste, join us for the latest photo report.
- Guests to the Magic Kingdom this morning were greeted with another new addition: A 50th Anniversary cake topiary, along with Mickey and Minne sporting golden accessories.
- Slowly, the scaffolding at Splash Mountain has been coming down, and now it has been totally removed.
EPCOT

- Harmonious debuts October 1 at EPCOT, replacing the temporary “EPCOT Forever” nighttime spectacular and a new behind the scenes video shared by the Disney Parks Blog explores the soundtrack and reveals clips of the new show.
- Space 220 Restaurant is set to open at EPCOT on September 20, but we were able to bring you a preview of the new venue tonight.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

- The excitement for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary continues to build as the Fab 50 Character Collection makes its debut on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Disney has announced that beginning September 23, boarding groups will not be used for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and the attraction will utilize a traditional standby queue.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- New pendant lights in a classic mid-century style with milk glass globes in a burst pattern now hang from the ceiling on the bottom floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Other Walt Disney World News
- In a special ceremony, Jeff Vahle, president of the Walt Disney World Resort, along with former resort president George A. Kalogridis, dedicated the Mickey and Minnie Fab 50 Character Statues to the more than 65,000 cast members of Walt Disney World.
- Just over two weeks from the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, and little over a week after Annual Pass sales resumed, Disney has reloaded the Park Pass system for nearly all dates and parks.
Disneyland Resort

- With the recent news that Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin was the next attraction to get a “cultural sensitivity update”, work has already begun on bringing new life to the Mickey’s Toon Town original attraction.
- Guests with valid Magic Key Passes can ride Haunted Mansion Holiday after the park closes on select dates from September 20 through October 7.
- The new Tenaya Stone Spa has opened at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.
- Today is a happy day for guests at Disneyland as long-time favorite restaurant Carnation Cafe reopened on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Fans of Disney’s Photo Pass Service in the Disneyland Resort have a new central location to view and purchase photos, as well as link the service to their passes, called Photo Concierge.
- More attractions at both parks have had their FastPass kiosks removed in advance of the new Lightning Lane service.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Mickey and the Disney Friends will feature on a special merchandise line themed to the characters having a fun day at the parks!
Shanghai Disneyland

- So far, six friends of Duffy have been introduced over the past 15 years — Duffy the Disney Bear, ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, and ‘OluMel. And this fall, the adorable plush troupe gains a seventh friend in LinaBell the fox!
New Merchandise

- It’s the middle of September, which means two new monthly pins are now available at Walt Disney World.
- The Crystal Arts store on Main Street, U.S.A. has a brand new 50th Anniversary Tiara.
- Bonjour! More merchandise in the Paris collection has arrived in the France Pavilion at EPCOT, featuring Mickey & Minnie in the city of love.

- A new, reimagined “Flight of the Navigator” movie is coming to Disney+.
